INFANT/BABY CARE AT CLUBHOUSE KIDS
For you to feel completely matched with your infant care provider, the facility must do much more than just be a group of smiling teachers in a clean child care center. It has to make you feel secure in the knowledge that your baby is safe and warm, with every possible need being met. You want to know your child is in good hands.
Our infant care program is designed to offer a secure space with knowledgeable caring teachers who honor your family’s routine, and know each day that they are not caring for just any child, they are caring for the most important child...yours.
LOVING, NURTURING, PROFESSIONAL EDUCATORS
Our early childhood educators are a carefully selected group of loving, nurturing professionals who embrace the joy of leading our infant child care program. Our goal is to make our infant child care program an extension of your home, where we create a setting that is as welcoming and familiar to your precious baby as their own home.
INDIVIDUALIZED CARE FOR YOUR BABY
Our research-based infant care program and welcoming environments have been carefully designed by our educators to support all of your baby’s exciting developmental milestones.
Program highlights include:
- A specific, assigned primary caregiver to help nurture one-on-one moments of love, play, and connection
- A personalized care plan to support daily schedules, feeding guidelines, and other needs
- A sensory-rich area with soft places to roll over on, pull up on, crawl on, and explore
- Exemplary safety, security, and cleanliness practices that meet or exceed all state, local, and National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) guidelines
CORE DAILY PRACTICES
- Every morning our teachers will ask how your evening and morning have been; when your baby has last eaten, last slept, and been changed
- Each day our teachers will document all meal times, diaper changes, nap times, and play times
- Infants are always rocked to sleep and carefully held for feedings
- Parents receive a report each evening capturing the activities and routines of your baby’s day
- Our thorough daily communications enable parents and teachers to partner with each other, providing a calm-inducing consistency between home and school
DAILY INTERACTIONS TO ENCOURAGE LEARNING & DEVELOPMENT
- Daily Reading: Age-appropriate books to support listening, vocabulary, and a love of reading
- Art Activities: Finger painting , music, and pretend play to help spark creativity
- Sign Language: Basic signs such as: "more", "please", "eat", "love", "yes", and "no" to help build language development
- Wonder Baskets: Everyday objects are placed in a covered basket, and babies are encouraged to explore them, to help entice curiosity
- Outdoor Discovery: Time is spent outside exploring nature while inspiring motor and sensory development
SEPARATE AGE-BASED INFANT & TODDLER SPACES
In order to place a focus on the growing individual needs of infants & toddlers between the ages of 6-weeks and 2-years old, the Clubhouse Kids Infant & Toddler Child Care Program has two separate Maryland State Department of Education-Office of Child Care (MSDE-OCC) licensed spaces, serving the following approximate age groups separately:
- 6 weeks to 9 months old – require a specific type of care as they take their first glimpses of the world around them, and learn to roll over, sit up, pull up, and crawl
- 9 months to 24 months old – require a different type of care than younger infants as they learn to stand, and walk, allowing them to expand their boundaries and explore…everywhere :-)
Having these two separate areas for these two different age groups allows our teachers to have improved interactions with each baby and toddler as they grow and explore the world around them.
INDIVIDUAL INFANT CHILD CARE PLANS
Because their needs vary, healthy child development for infants requires individual goals and lesson plans. Our curriculum includes practices which encourage exploration and discovery to help stimulate early learning.
At Clubhouse Kids, we focus on:
- Personal and social development
- Language development
- Physical development
- Recognizing and documenting infant milestones
- Daily active reporting
