As we all do our best to navigate life's "new normal" after the COVID-19 crisis, we would like to thank each of you who have supported Clubhouse Kids over the years, and specifically through the COVID-19 pandemic.
On this webpage, we are hoping to provide families with peace of mind by briefly outlining our policies and procedures that are in place to help keep families clean, healthy, and safe.
From the day we opened our doors, Clubhouse Kids has had strict policies & procedures in place regarding the cleanliness of our centers and frequent hand washing for staff & children, following MSDE & MDH guidelines of at least 20 seconds of lathering soap & water on the hands before rinsing, as well as closely following other cleanliness guidelines set forth by the Maryland State Department of Education (MSDE), and the Maryland Department of Health (MDH).
We know that cleanliness is key to operating FUN & SAFE child care programs!
These policies and practices are in the best interests of the children in our care, as well as our staff, and are a continuously evolving working document, so they may change as situations change and as knowledge and information regarding health and safety evolves.
That being said, we feel secure in the knowledge that we are doing everything in our power to keep each child healthy & safe while in our care, throughout each day at a Clubhouse Kids facility.
Prior to attending Clubhouse Kids, please be sure you understand, and are comfortable with, the potential risks associated with sending your child to a child care facility. Our team works hard throughout each day, and after-hours, to ensure that our facilities are clean, sanitized, and ready for the families who visit us daily.
In each Clubhouse Kids classroom, the following take place each day:
However, there is risk associated with participating, and Clubhouse Kids is not liable for anyone who may contract any virus or transmittable illness, such as a cold, flu, COVID-19, or ANY illness as a result.
As a part of registration & enrollment, parents will be required to sign a waiver acknowledging that they understand the potential risks of participating in child care.
Our center opens at 6:30am each day, Monday through Friday, for both our Little Ones, and our School Age Children, and closes at 6:30pm each evening.
Child care programs are required to exclude any child or staff member who show symptoms of, or have tested positive for: a cold, the flu, COVID-19, or any other transmittable illness, etc. Once cleared by a medical professional, the person will be allowed to return to the center.
Upon entry into the center, all children and staff will be required to wash their hands with soap and water following the MSDE/MDH handwashing guideline above.
Throughout each day, all toys will be thoroughly cleaned and disinfected before going from one child to another, and also will be thoroughly cleaned and disinfected at the end of each day before being put away. Any toy that goes into a child's mouth will be thoroughly cleaned immediately.
All furniture will be cleaned and disinfected several times each day, as well as at the end of each day. All bathrooms will be cleaned and disinfected between each use, and at the end of each day.
Additionally, staff members always use gloves when assisting children with their meals and snacks.
